Here’s the solid truth – I cannot cannot cannot fall in love with another brand. I’ve had my hands full juggling the numerous brands I already adore. So even though I’ve heard great things about Cult Nails from countless fans, I’ve held out on placing an order.
Cult Nails is the nail polish brand created by nail blogger Maria Morrison who runs R3 Daily.
Luckily, Digital Traincase has started selling bottles of the brand so polish addicts in the Philippines will have easier access to Maria’s creations. And because of Digital Traincase, I finally got the chance to try Cult Nails.
Today I will show you the five colors from Cult Nails’ Let’s Get Nekkid Collection.
The idea for the collection hit Maria while was sleeping. She had a dream that she created nail polish colors inspired by the different skin tones of her family members. She turned that dream into reality, releasing four shades inspired by the skin color of people who are dear to her along with a limited edition glittery green.
Let’s start with Mazo.
Mazo is a sheer light beige.
Check out that pretty gold shimmer.
Mazo was inspired by Maria’s mom.
Based on the early swatch on Maria’s blog, I think she meant for this shade to be worn sheer.
But I never wear sheer polish so I used three coats (sorry, Maria!).
The color built up nicely.
The formula was lovely.
No streaking, no problems.
Note that even though these shades were inspired by skin colors, they were not meant to give you mannequin hands. “They’re more of an enhancement,” Maria wrote on her blog.
This is Baker.
Baker is a peachy beige.
Again, check out the gold shimmer.
This color was inspired by Maria’s own skin tone.
This is a color you should whip out when you’re rocking a tan.
I love how the gold shimmer gives this shade depth.
Once again, lovely formula.
Smooth and streak-free.
I used three coats.
This is Tulum.
Tulum is a light milk chocolate brown.
Once again, gape at the gold shimmer.
This shade was inspired by one of Maria’s cousins.
I love taupey shades like this.
Because yeah, edgy neutrals rock.
This is the kind of shade you can wear to the office and then out to a party.
It’s pretty.
Lovely formula.
I used two coats.
This is Swanbourne.
Swanbourne is a deep deep chocolate brown. This is the darkest shade in the collection.
Check out the gold glitter.
This shade was inspired by Maria’s beloved Grandpa Al.
This is one of my favorites from the collection.
I like how dark it is.
I like that extra gold sparkle.
I like the formula too.
Like the other shades in this collection, it’s super smooth.
Hassle-free application.
I used two coats.
And finally, Toxic Seaweed.
This polish is pure craziness.
Crazy glitter and flakies set in a blue-green jelly base.
I decided to see if Toxic Seaweed can be worn alone.
And the answer is hell yes.
It was opaque after four coats.
If you don’t have the patience to go for four coats, no worries. Toxic Seaweed would work great as a top coat too.
I think it would look fab over a green or a black.
Now here’s the thing. Toxic Seaweed is a limited edition.
The flakies you see in the polish are no longer available. Maria will not be able to reproduce this shade.
So if you love it, you must grab it now.
If you’re in the Philippines, you can purchase these shades from Digital Traincase at ₱450 each. If you’re anywhere else in the world, you can get your bottles directly from Cult Nails at $10 each. I got this entire collection too! Only one I didn’t like was Baker, but maybe that’s cause I haven’t seen it on me. I just assumed it would look bleh on me. They look so good on you!
ohh baker naman is my personal favorite!
Haha! I love how we all have different favorites from different collections!

It is crazy!
Mermaid nails!
When I first checked out this collection, I only liked about a couple of those. But when I saw your swatches, hay naku parang I want them all na!
Haha! Get them! They’re so pretty!
Kasi naman, B has this ridiculous ban on buying nail polish. I don’t know how long it’ll last!
Yay! I’m so glad you finally got to try some Cults! I have only worn Baker and Mazo so far but your swatches have me wanting to wear the others sooner than later. Since St. Patrick’s day in the States is around the corner, I might wait to wear Toxic Seaweed on that day
your nails are getting long again! Very nice!
P.S. there is an eyelash on your Tulum! Hehehe
Kat! Haha! These are the first Cults I’ve ever tried! Looking forward to trying more! I cut my nails again! hahaha! I don’t know, I just really love them short! Crazy short even but they just look terrible for swatching!
And hahahaha yes! I’m amazed you spotted that!
