Next month, Chanel will be launching a new range of sexy matte lipsticks called Rouge Allure Velvet.
But that’s not why I’m up at 3 in the morning, unable to sleep because I am to excited for you to see these.
And by these I mean a big dose of Chanel love.
Thanks to the awesome awesome Daphne of Rustan’s, I can now show you the shades from the Rouge Allure Velvet collection.
There are three colors and a special top coat.
A matte top coat.
The three colors are Rose Cache, Rose Exuberant and Pirate.
A beige, a pink and a red.
Pretty, pretty, pretty.
This is Rose Cache.
Chanel describes this as a “rose beige.”
Yup, pretty accurate.
Rose Cache is way more pink in the bottle than on my nails.
My skin tone brings out the beige and not the pink in this shade.
This is another shade with Chanel’s secret shimmer.
The formula was nice and smooth. I used two coats.
This is Rose Cache with flash.
This is Beaute Des Ongles Top Coat Velvet. It can turn any polish matte – but you already know that.
This is Rose Cache with Top Coat Velvet.
I love that this top coat gives my polish a velvety feel.
It’s not chalky at all.
I saw Sophy Robson post a mannequin nails photo using this polish.
I wish this shade was as pretty on me too.
This is Rose Exuberant.
Chanel describes it as “intense pink.”
And yes, that’s accurate too.
Now that is a serious pink.
I love how bright this pink is.
It’s such a happy color.
I have a lot of pink Chanels but I still really love this one.
It’s so pretty.
Again, lovely formula.
I used two coats.
And I love Rose Exuberant matte too.
And it felt so smooth I couldn’t stop touching it.
Love love love.
There’s no other word for this.
And finally, Pirate.
Chanel describes this as “deep red.”
Pirate is a deep red.
A deep red jelly.
And because it’s a jelly, I used three coats.
I love this too.
I love how glossy this color is.
Matte Pirate is sexy too.
I love how Peter Philips rereleased this old shade but updated the look with the matte top coat.
Love love love.
I love how vibrant this red is.
In fact, I loved this so much that I kept it on after swatching.
And yes, I couldn’t stop touching my nails.
Chanel fever once again. And I don’t think it will ever go away.
This won’t be the last time you will be seeing these shades. I have plenty of plans to play with them. I will post comparison swatches soon. I also can’t wait to see how other Chanel shades look with Top Coat Velvet.
Chanel Rouge Allure Velvet will be available at Rustan’s The Beauty Source in October.
