Soon, Dior’s Rock Your Nails Collection for Spring 2011 will be arriving in our nail polish mecca. And when I say soon, I mean third week of April.
Did you scream? I thought I heard you scream.
And I can’t blame you. I’m bursting with excitement too. Why wouldn’t I be?
Look at how beautiful this collection is:
When I first saw this photo, I just stared and stared. Take a closer look:
Dior first grabbed my attention with Lemon Balm, an oddly named but gorgeous purple plum shimmer. I’ve had a few great Dior discoveries after and it looks like this collection will be the final step in Dior’s attempt to capture a huge chunk of my heart.
But wait, this post isn’t about me. It’s about Dior and how much it wants to rock your nails.
This is Perfecto, the almost black polish that Kate Moss wore for the Dior Addict lip campaign.
This is Nirvana. They call it gray green, I call it a gorgeous teal.
Purple Mix, a smoky violet.
Blue Label, a deep blue blue polish fans won’t be able to resist. I should know. I’m one of them.
Underground, a dark brown. I’m on a brown kick so I can’t wait to get my hands on Underground.
And here is the star of the collection – Dior’s Rock Coat.
Rock Coat is a smoky black-tinted top coat that can transform your polish from eh to edgy. I love how it can make polish look completely different. One bottle of Rock Coat can potentially double the colors you have in your polish collection. I can’t wait to play with it.
I have a strong feeling other brands will soon come out with their own version of the Rock Coat.

This collection is avaliable in Singapore like weeks ago! ^^ I bought Blue Label and its my first Dior so I was surprised how wide and big the brush is!!! Rock Coat isn’t that amazing, it just makes your polish 2 tones darker
Hey Shona! Yup the new brush is pretty wide! I like it – two strokes is enough to cover my teeny nails! I like Rock Coat – but I think its effect will depend on what polish you layer it over. I like my polishes vampy so a top coat that can turn my favorite shades sexy and smoky sounds good to me.
haha the promoter wanted to try on rock coat on me but she flicked the brush as soon as it was out of the bottle and it splattered all over the floor!! I quickly said NO to her offer because I don’t want those polish all over my clothes, hahaha!
MAKE NO MISTAKE, you will stare at your nails EVERYDAY that you have PERFECTO on… because that’s what I did. I also couldn’t resist Blue Label and Rock Coat… but I didn’t get the other ones.
Another thing of note is that these polishes have Dior’s new brush… the first couple of nails took me by surprise, as it seemed hard to paint… here’s a tip: gently PRESS the brush onto your nails to fan out… it creates the most PERFECT curve around the cuticles. LOVE.
