The awesome awesome Stef recently flew to Korea to interview a pop star and she came back with a lot of goodies for me.

A lot.
It was her pasalubong slash Valentine’s gift.

Yes, Stef is crazy sweet.
She put together the perfect goodie bag – I loved every single thing in it.
She got me this chicken letter set. Yes, because I am turbochicken.

And rubber duck paper clips. Yes, I have a thing for rubber ducks too.

And chicken puffy stickers. Because I am obsessed with puffy stickers.

Baking and cooking-themed stickers. Yes, because I love baking and cooking.

And nail polish. Oh you know about that obsession.

These are awesome matte Etude House polishes. I didn’t even know Etude House made matte polish!

Here are three of the five shades in the Petite Darling Nails Matte Collection.

Stef chose the ones I loved – yes yes, she is amazing.
This is Cookies & Cream Gray.

This was two coats.

Tatin was right, it is the color of concrete.

This is Milky Way Purple.

It’s a cool taupe-y purple.

Sometimes it looks brown.

I love Cookies & Cream and Milky Way Purple but my favorite of the three is Java Blue.

It’s a deep deep blue.

What’s crazy about it is that in the bottle, it has a gorgeous blue shimmer.

The shimmer is so spectacular that you expect the polish to dry suede and not matte.

But no, it’s super matte and super pretty.
To show you the crazy shimmer, I put a top coat over Java Blue.

That’s two coats of Java Blue with one coat of Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat.

How pretty is that?

The thing with matte polish is you have to be super fast when you paint your nails because it dries almost instantly. Clearly, I need more practice.
I’m not sure if these matte polishes are already available in Etude House branches in Manila. I hope they are – I know a lot of polish fans here have been wanting to get their hands on matte polish. I will find out later and post an update.
Thanks, Stefy. You are awesome.
