We tracked down Preview’s Beauty Editor-At-Large Agoo Bengzon and interrogated her about her love for nail polish.
No doubt about it, Agoo, who is always dressed to perfection, knows that a great nail polish shade completes any outfit.
And we have evidence:

Agoo wears Chanel Black Satin while at the beach with her husband.

Agoo used clear nail polish and glitter from National Bookstore to create this look.

Agoo applies a fresh coat in a restaurant. She says, “I do this when I can’t stand looking at a chipped nail!”
Favorite nail polish/brand: “Deborah Lippmann—never chips on me!”

How often do you change your nail polish color?
“Every week!”
Pet peeves: “Can’t stand ridges and chipped nails. I also hate seeing super long square-shaped nails that are French manicured. So tacky.”
How do you take care of your nails?
“I use a cuticle cream every day and take an oral supplement, Si-Nails.”
Favorite nail treatments: Orly Bonder, Sally Hansen Diamond Top Coat, Yellow No More, OPI Matte Nail Envy, and Essie Quick-E
Favorite nail polish remover: Sally Hansen
If you can only wear one shade every day, what will it be?
“Black—it goes with everything!”
Any tips for other nail polish junkies?
“Don’t be afraid to experiment, and don’t let colors intimidate you. It might look tacky or so-not-you based on how it looks in the bottle but will look fab once you try it on.”
